English outreach in Nago
Last Sunday I was blessed to take a group up to Pastor Tim's house in Nago to help out with an English outreach. It was a total blessing for all of us. After fun and games Tim shared the gospel with his english students.

Pastor Andrew Neely
everyone praying for Andrew and his wife Kayo |
We had a special Sunday night W2 (worship&word) as Andrew Neely was (for lack of better words) given the title of pastor. It was great to hear some of the pastors around island give testimony of how Neely was when he first arrived here and how he always going out of his way to meet the needs of the congregation may it be teaching while Tom is gone to leading worship and locking the church up. I pray that the Lord continues to use you in a great way bud. God bless you and Kayo!

Mr. Vee and the Inside Story
Sunday marked the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 and the 6 month anniversary of the earthquake/tsunami that struck Sendai/Tohoku region of Japan. We were blessed by the band and their willingness to just come and bless our congregation. After the band finished playing we spent time in prayer and heard a salvation message shared by Yoshua.

the castle is a world heritage site. I didn't know that until I arrived |
Every Monday while the Bible College is in session we have an adventure day, where we take the students to various parts of the Island (and generally the beach). Yesterday we took the students to Zakimi Castle in Yomitan Village. This castle was given to a warrior, named Gamasaru, who brought the various kingdoms in Okinawa together, and I guess he liked the stones from his previous castle because according to legend he had that one dismantled and used those stones to make this castle. Zakimi castle was even used during WWII as a missile base for the Japanese army. the view from the top of the castle was great! after visiting the castle we went to a phenomenal beach that is near by (one of my favorites) and spent a couple of hours there. It was a blessed sabbath day for us.

I'm a quarter-centurion
I was surprised with a morning jello cake in the morning |
Then Hannah sung happy birthday to me over Facetime |
Here is the jello cake |
Eeeeee! I'm getting old. |
Yes, yes, yes I am now 25 and I am so blessed to be able to celebrate my birthday with such great friends (both close an far away). I was even blessed with a ramen lunch (heavenly...if this stuff is good here on earth I wonder what the food will be like when we dine with Christ!)
Lord thank you for letting me live these years, allow me to continue on for your glory!
