I went off and made red velvet cupcakes. A great plan right? Sure it worked out good but in the above picture with the melting frosting I learned a valuable lesson, can you guess what it is? No, it's not "You have to let the cupcakes fully cool before you frost" what I learned was that butter frosting doesn't like to hold form for that long (I am unable to get cream cheese or I would have used a cream cheese frosting). My frosting melted not because of the cupcakes but because I forgot to let the frosting cool....so to all you armature bakers like myself, let your frosting cool in the fridge before you frost.
Also if you are wondering if they were any good, yes, yes they were very good!
