Wildwood

On my trip back to the states I was able to go to my home church to let people know of the work that we are currently and will be doing this summer with the relief effort in Sendai. It was a blessing to do this and as always it was great seeing old friends and new ones too. One of the Sundays I was given the opportunity to share the Word at the College group, it was good....even though I was nervous with that being my very first time EVER sharing at my home church.

Before I spoke Jeremy shared a bit about me to the group since not all of them really know me, he shared about how I used to be and how I am now how God ultimately changed me into who I am today....it made me think about all of those things as well which in turn made me praise God for putting up with me all of these years.

Modeling....

I never dress up 'nice' for anything, but since I was part of Eder and Manda's wedding I needed to look sharper than normal, so I wore a suit (borrowed from Jr....if you know our heights/ages you'll find that funny) I had fun playing dress up for the day, would I do it all the time? probably not. Any ways....here ya go (photos taken by Hannah)

yes....all of the groom's men wore super hero shirts.

The Happy Couple

Don't they look great!

The Wedding

Hannah finally won the flowers

She was super happy about it, ha!
Ed and Manda are now one! Their wedding was so beautiful, I almost teared up...We all had a great time together every one looked great and the food was yummy.

Wild Animal Park

The Fam! (I'm not tired in this picture)
I got into the states on a Monday and the very next day we went to the Wild Animal park in Escondido to celebrate Jon and Marisa's (a week later) birthdays. It was a lot of fun we enjoyed each other's presence and banter. There was this tour thing that the park offers, its about a 30-40 minute safari in a car thing that goes around the open fields of roaming animals, it was good to see and all....but I fell asleep, its not like I didn't want to be there or anything, it was my second day back....I was tired. I didn't take any pictures of animals! So don't kill me yeah.
I am dead tired here.....

It's been some time!

I will be able to post more now that I am back in home in Okinawa...so give me a bit yeah? thanks!

Missions

The other day my family and I were coming out of the theater with some friends of the family when we all bumped into a couple who said that they are believers (I am not doubting their salvation or anything) and I was introduced as the missionary son, which is cool and everything right. Anyways, the wife said that their daughter went on a missions trip for a week, and I was naturally excited to hear that someone was willing to venture out in the Lord and serve Him, but eight after that she says that she was crying everyday that she was gone and how she wanted her to be back home with her.

It was so sad to hear. What does one do in this sort of situation? Do we rebuke them in love? Try to encourage them to think about what their daughter is doing for the Lord? Do we sit silent while they say these selfish things? Whatever it is that the Lord tells you to do, do it but don't forget to always be praying for the parents and the daughter, that she would seek the Lord.

It's so cold!

This nice looking morning is rather deceptive. It's like 68 degrees (according to Jon) feels like low sixties to me. Today we are going to the wild animal park in san diego for Jon and
Marisa's birthday.

Flying

Well I have flown several times over the past years but this is the first...I had to stand firm for the seat that I requested, the flight attendant in my 'sector' wasn't the nicest person (think she is from America) and I'm completely surrounded by Philippinos (nothing against them, it's just kind of strange). Ha! It's all good though it's only for 12 or so hours

I'm out!

The group had an opportunity to venture out of the Koinonia cafe

Last beach day of the month

Today we decided to go to the beach and get away from the cafe. What an awesome day to come; there was a nice breeze, high tide, and partly cloudy skies. What else can you ask for from a tropical paradise!? On Monday I take off o the states fir several things...Jon's birthday (first in like 4 years), Hannah's graduation (valedictorian...good job!) Eder and Manda's wedding, teaching college group at Wildwood and VBS! It will all be a great time if fellowship and serving the Lord.

Typhoon

the crupmled up sign across the street behind a building....
So we had a little typhoon that ripped off our sign that we've had ever since I could remember....the Lord is good though because no one was hurt! The old sign being destroyed also gives us the opportunity to re-design the Koinonia cafe sign.
