A first

This was my first Halloween that I've ever gone witnessing. It was creepy since I've never really in my life gone to such an event as a costume competition. As a whole it was a good night, we were able to pass out tracts and share to a couple of people. There was this lady that Rob spoke to who had a grip of questions, keep her in your prayers that she will see the light.

Last full month of the semester

My AV class just had their mid-term and they all did great. Please continue to pray for the Bible College as we are over half way over. This month is going to be crazy busy, we have a two day conference to attend (no classes), a two day one night camp out up north, some of the students going to Korea for a missions trip (about 6 days), Thanksgiving (Japanese holiday on Wednesday, then American Holiday no school), then its only two weeks left of school. If you could please keep all of the students in prayer as it will be super busy for the rest of the semester.

I did it!

Before (during)
After
I accomplished it. I was able to take a picture of my food before I ate all of it. The dish that I had was purin (pudding) its not like American pudding or anything, it's a lot firmer and has great texture and very unique taste. Lord willing I will be able to make some in the states.

Later

saying good bye to the Robbmobile.
the Robb's have officially moved off the Island, they have moved to Tohouku to start a new work there. Please keep Chuck and Yumi in your prayers.

ahhh

Keegan's frist time driving
I was asked to take Keegan out for a drive to make sure he can do ok by himself. I put on a confident face but I was scared most of the time (sorry buddy, but you scared me). Now I kind of know how parents feel when they take their kids out driving for the first time....thanks for putting up with us and being brave to allow us to drive!

Friday morning ministry

Sam sharing the Word

Cotton leading the games

Every friday during the semester we help out a Christian school called New Life Acadamy. Most of the kids that we do chapel for are not saved so please keep the New Life kids in your prayers as the we and the teachers share Jesus with them.

missed it....

last day of swimming was Oct. 30th, we showed up on the 31sr

we saw this at the plaza....I don't understand why the Japanese people put pictures like this up....
Blast. We missed the last day of permissible swimming in Okinawa....bummer. It was good though we chilled on the beach for a bit then we headed over to a shopping plaza, got some ice cream and did some walking around.

A bad habit

I have a problem with taking pictures of my food when I go to restaurants....I tend to take the picture of my empty bowl/plate instead of it being filled with food. If you think about it though when the platter is empty that tends to mean that it was super good...so let the emptiness be a compliment to the cooks instead of eye candy (forgive me I will try to take actual pictures of my food next time.

Pizza-in

All you can eat japanese pizza. the toppings vary from normal pepperoni, bacon and pineapple to seafood pizza, and potato pizza with ketchup/mustard/mayo on it. most of the pizza tastes good but there are moments when you look at the food on your plate and wonder if that should really be on pizza. All-in-all it was good eating (had 18 slices...they are so much smaller than American slices).

Saturday adventure

Sweet shoes that you would never see in the States....didn't like the price though (over $100)

her head is messed up...
On Saturday we were supposed to go to a Matsuri (city festival) and enjoy the performances and foods, but due to rain we canceled our trip. We still all wanted to something so a couple of us leaders took the people who wanted to go out to Main place, one of the big malls in one of the bigger cities, here we just hung out and relaxed laughing at random things and all.

Friday nights

This is Mihama where we normally witness at. (also called American village)

Tatsu and Nicky jamming it up! (sorry for bad picture quality)
So on Friday nights out here we give the students two options, they can either go to prayer group at Tommy's house or they can go witnessing for a couple of hours. This past friday was my turn to lead the team and all (it was a blessed night, we all talked to some people). Tatsuhiko and Nicky played some worship for us as we were sharing/passing out tracks.

the grossest looking thing I have ever made...

This thing literally looked like snot....BUT did not taste as such. this was supposed to be a homemade lemon curd pie (didn't have enough time to chill) but instead of being yellow like lemon is kinda supposed to, it turned green. I wanted to dump it because of its ugliness but I was forced to take it out and serve it to everyone after our Wednesday night service (I was so ashamed and embarrassed)....I'm just glad that it tasted like it was supposed to (lemony).
