Love God, love people - A servant leadership conference

So I haven't posted anything about this one, and it may come as a shock to many. I am teaching at a conference in a couple of weeks in Tokyo. This is a unique conference because as you can see by the pictures all of us teachers look young (and we are young)!

"Why would these young people be teaching?" you may wonder, well, it's time for change, it's time for us young teachers and leaders to start doing these kind of things, it's time for us to challenge our generation just as we have been challenged by the generation before us.

Please pray for all of us, that we would hear what the Lord wants us to specifically say in our topics and that we trust fully in the Holy Spirit when we give the message.

Ramen

Rob is always the last one to finish eating....he always has a story to tell
The absolute best part of ramen, the slightly under cooked but incredibly creamy marinated (in shoyu, soy sauce) egg
(you should be proud of me...there is still food in this shot)
Madison, Tamiko, the Mate (Cotton)
Choose your oil intensity!
Friday was Cotton's birthday but because of school and work for him we were unable to celebrate it until today. He loves ramen just as much as I do so we ended up going to Toundo a.k.a 'college ramen'. It is the best ramen I have had on Okinawa, yet doesn't compare to mainland juice. The base for the broth was pork and the noodles are hand made (which add to the awesomeness). At this ramen shop you are able to choose the hardness of your noodle and how  much oil that is put into it, very unique.

Happy birthday Mate!

ha

When I first saw this bottle of water I had to take a double take, just like most of you had to do.

Saturday

Keegan, Natchan (the orange drink), and Anna

I felt like this when i got to the cabin

Manda (Eder's wife)
The other week one of our church members asked me if it would be ok if she could invite some people from the school to her cabin up north for a bbq. So some of us went and grabbed the Diazs' from Nago and went to her cabin. walking into the cabin all I could smell was wood and I immediately was brought back to the states to my dad's garage. Anyways, the food was amazing (no pictures, sorry.) and the fellowship was even better. Thanks Sachiko-san for allowing us over!

Japanese advertising!

We are now advertising CCBC Okinawa and CC Ginowan in a Christian magazine called Christian Style. We pray that the Lord will use this advert to bring Japanese believers to the school.

Engrish

I don't think I have to say much about these pictures. There are times when I wonder if the japanese people love doing things like this or they just can't find a native speaker to double check their work. Anyways, go now and have your laugh.

Tetsuya

Shell, Tetsuya, and Anna
On Monday I took a couple of the college students and interns out of the cafe (because one can go crazy, especially me). We all went do do Mihama just to walk around and have some fun, anyways, I was taking the girls around a new area when all of a sudden I hear my name being shouted. So I look around and I see Tetsuya in his bright orange uniform waving me down from a second floor building. We go up to him and everything, then he welcomes us into his mom's restaurant, which he manages, and lets us look around some. It's a great looking restaurant and an amazing view of the seawall. It was great seeing our dear brother. Keep serving Jesus Testsuya!

Migiwa

I like the character she has for herself (fits her testimony)
Here is Migiwa playing for us
Yoshua gave a Gospel message and Cotton translated
The set list for the show! (not my writing)
Last Wednesday the CC Ginowan body was blessed to have Migiwa come over and kick start her tour on Okinawa it was a blessing to hear some Christian Japanese music that wasn't just praise and worship, don't get me wrong worship music is great, I love it....but change sometimes is good. I was blessed to run sound for her, and we were all blessed with the Gospel message that Yo-san gave.
